I heard so many stories about ruined relationships, divorces and single people, young or older, who struggled in their love life because of the Pandemic. So I started to think more and more about how it would be when they were free again. If they would be able to read social cues and give eye contact again. Will they be able to love and be loved again, letting themselves be discovered, having the courage to let the others see the real person. And I knew what I wanted to paint, a young woman, shy, a bit fearful but willing to show herself to the world and to be loved and accepted again.
